Farmers and villagers of Chhattisgarh receive a joyous gift of Rs 1510 crore 81 lakh under Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, before Dhanteras and Diwali
*Agriculture sector in the state has flourished as a result of pro-farmer schemes*

On the occasion of Rajyotsav today, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel online transferred an amount of Rs 1510 crore 81 lakh to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana at a programme held at his residence office. Rs 1500 crore were transferred to the bank accounts of farmers in the state as the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana and Rs 10 crore 81 lakh were transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, gauthan committees and women self-help groups under Godhan Nyay Yojana. This gift right before Diwali and Dhanteras has doubled the joy of 21 lakh villagers and farmers in the state.
While addressing people of the state on the occasion of Rajyotsav, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that Rajyotsav is an important festival for people of Chhattisgarh, as on this day our long-awaited dream of state formation came true. He said that we have fulfilled our promise by paying the third installment of Rs 1500 crore under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana to the farmers of the state. Likewise, an amount of Rs 10 crore 21 lakh was also transferred as the payment against the cow dung procured under Godhan Nyay Yojana and as the dividend to self-help groups and Gauthan committees. Chief Minister said that despite the COVID crisis for last two years, there was no shortage of money in our villages during the festivals. This year as well, farmers in the state will celebrate Diwali with great zeal and joy.
Chief Minister further said that agriculture in the state of Chhattisgarh has flourished and prospered in the last three years, as a result of the farmer-friendly policies of Chhattisgarh Government. Our farmer brothers have produced paddy abundantly and the government has procured the paddy on a large-scale. Chhattisgarh broken the record of paddy procurement every year, for last three years. This year, procurement of one crore 5 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is expected. Procurment of paddy at support price will be commenced in the state from December 1. Keeping in view the demand of ministers, public representatives, farmers' organizations, we have extended the date of registration under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana till November 10 for the convenience of farmers. He said that from agriculture to industry and trade, Chhattisgarh has set many records in last three years. In these three years, we have taken sincere and effective steps to ensure justice to all the sections of society. The dream of 'Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh' is coming true. He greeted people of the state on the occasion of Rajyotsava, Dhanteras, Diwali festival.
On this occasion, Panchayat and Rural and Health Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdeo, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Food and Culture Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal also extended hearty wishes to people of the state on Rajyotsava and Deepawali in their address to the programme. They said that the schemes launched by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for the betterment of villages, villagers and farmers have proven to be highly effective and beneficial on ground. Villages and villagers are becoming self-dependent. The government is fulfilling its every promise. Today, Chhattisgarh's development model is being discussed all over the country.
At the onset, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh gave detailed information about the progress of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana. He said that this year, the state has the target to sow rabi crops in 2 lakh 80 thousand hectares during Rabi season. The work of sowing Rabi crops has been already started. Adequate availability of seeds and fertilizers for Rabi crops has been ensured in the state.
